Gavilan, a ketch rigged dory style chesapeake sail boat off estero bay

The Gavilan is a lovely ketch, 30 ft loa and 27 ft at water line. She is all wood construction with beautiful teak trim. She was built after the dory style boats that ply the Chesapeake Bay, where she was built. But she is now moored in Morro Bay, California. Owned during the 1970s by Dr. Clyde Dease, a professor of physics at Cal Poly at the time.
